What is Smart Contact?

Smart Contact answers two questions: Who in our company knows Jim Smith?  And, who in our company knows somebody at the ABC Company?  Smart Contact is a Relationship Search application that data mines relationship data from your emails, appointments, address books, marketing and accounting systems. Its objective is to reveal who in your company has the strongest relationship to a target individual or company. 

Use Smart Contact to support your business development and marketing efforts.  Use it to cross-sell and uncover new opportunities. It’s the ideal tool for law, accounting, consulting, financial, architectural, engineering, non-profits and professional service organizations. It’s perfect for any company where relationships play an important part of your business development efforts.

How Does It Work?

Search:  To search for an individual, enter the target’s name and email address.  To search for a target company, enter the company name and domain.  That’s all it takes to initiate a search.

Data Mining Engine:  Smart Contact queries your Microsoft Exchange server for emails and appointments, and your accounting and marketing systems for relationship data.

Scoring Engine:  The Scoring Engine assigns relevancy points to the different variable in the data. (Just like the Olympics.)  Its objective is to not only find connections, but to rank the strength and quality of the connection.

Results.  On the Results Screen, the user sees the relationship ranking and has the option to send an Action Email to the relationship holder requesting an introduction.

We know that every company calibrates its privacy policies differently.  That’s why we designed Smart Contact to run in five different privacy modes from Open to Blind Mode.  In Open Mode the results are completely transparent in contrast to Blind Mode where the identity of the relationship holder is kept private from the person running the search.
